First Book

So my first book of the new year is The Crossing Places by Elly Griffiths. I'm a couple chapters in and I'm having a great time. I love mysteries. For awhile I was reading more gentle books as things in my life were a little sad and I needed a break. Now I'm back to reading what I love. Still have the sadness in my life, but I'm getting through it slowly, but surely.
I'm watching John Adams on DVD. It's really good. I enjoy history as long as it's not being crammed down my throat.
Again this year I'm going to read more and watch less TV. I say this every year and most years I do it. I've taken on no new shows..so I'm just watching the standard ones I have for years. I've even given up a few. Desperate Housewives and Grey's being 2 of them . I find I don't miss them at all.
As for the new year, I'm hoping for more joy than sorrow. The end of 2009 just about crashed me and I'm slowly coming back to my own. So here's to joy, love, happiness and peace.
